At Jansen Engineering & Design, structural engineering is part of our foundation.
Our founder, David Jansen, grew up in a family of builders, entrepreneurs, and business owners, so construction has always been in his blood. From working alongside his father to pursuing an engineering career that took him from Ottawa to Victoria and back home again, every experience has shaped the way we work today.
After years of consulting with both small local firms and large international companies—and contributing to projects of every size across the country—he founded Jansen Engineering & Design with one goal in mind: to bring high-quality, constructable, cost-effective engineering solutions back to Eastern Ontario—the community where it all began.
We work directly with every client, offering personal service, top-tier attention to detail, and a deep understanding of both the technical and practical sides of building.
Today, we’re proud to support our region not only through our professional work, but also by offering pro bono infrastructure design for youth-focused projects like local schools and recreation associations. We’ve also sponsored community events, including South Dundas United Soccer, HarvestFest, Float for Autism, and the Johnstown Minor League Ball.
